I am looking at changing industries. I have great sales experience, but in the food industry. Would somebody like Stryker consider somebody with 10 years of sales experience outside of the medical industry? Or am I wasting my time and should focus on other jobs and industries?

When of the advantages of being a RN is all of the specialty areas where you can gain experience. By working in a critical care specialty unit, you can move on to work in other units where the same skill set is needed such as radiology, ambulatory surgery, etc. You can also consider going back to school to become a CRNA.

I am seriousy considering becoming a legal nurse consultant. Is there work available in this area? I don't want to spend the time and effort to pursue this if the work is not there.

A biotech sales job usually requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in the life sciences. Most sales positions require at least 1-2 years of successful sales in pharmaceutical or laboratory research. Strong knowledge base of company products, life science research, biotechnology research is essential. As usual if you are up against other strong candidates with the specific job requirements, it will be more challenging. You need to find a company willing to train or willing to give you a chance based on your successfull sales track record.
