Is anyone out there looking for a part time associate?

I have been working as an OT PRN and I need to complete my continuing education units. I was wondering if there were any new requirements or any changes to the current requirements regarding CEUs?

I am a retail pharmacist living in Chicago, IL. I have been a pharmacy manager for CVS for 5 years now and I have worked retail pharmacy for the past 10 years mostly as a manager. I am looking for a career move out of retail. I have researched nuclear pharmacy and I am interested in this area of pharmacy. I understand I would need additional schooling/training. It may be best to look at jobs in intermediate or monitored units to get started and getting your ACLS on your own shows initiative and your willingness to learn.

It is definitely best to get a BSN at some point in your career. Many jobs require a minimum BSN degree especially if you are interested in getting into a managementposition. In addition to the extra knowledge you learn, it helps to advance the preception of nursing being a profession and not just a technical job.

It depends if you have prior experience in clinical pharmacy. If you do not have any experience in a hospital pharmacy, the chances are more difficult, but depends on the local market and the interest level of other clinical pharmacists. If there are no experienced pharmacists locally, the hospital will be more open to training. You see this happen typically more in smaller cities and rural areas.

Is a BS enough, or should I go for a MS or PhD? If I go for the grad degree, is it better to work for a few years first?

For the past year or so it has been difficult for new grad RNs to get a position out of school. Any suggestions?
